WWI Royal Flying Corp Ariel Dart "Flechette".
Original flechette, used on unsuspecting troops at the front. The darts were transported in wicker baskets via bi-plane to the front where they were dropped on the troops below causing death and serious injury. This piece is a known example used by the RFC. The dart has lost one of its fins, which was common. Still a very interesting and historical piece.
