Pre-War Luftwaffe Bakelite Barograph by Emil Scholz
Pre-War Luftwaffe Bakelite Barograph by Emil Scholz of Hamburg.
The barograph is a recording aneroid barometer where the changes in atmospheric pressure are recorded on chart paper. The barograph chart is mounted on to the drum which is normally turned by clockwork. The ink trace, or barogram, on the recording paper is a visual record of changes in pressure.
This piece is dated 1937 and is fully operational with the original rare paper drum chart, all parts are clean with no corrosion etc. The bakelite casing is crack free and would polish up well.
