WWII RAF Direction Indicator Instrument
WWII RAF Direction Indicator Instrument.
Interesting piece found in Nutt's Corner, County Antrim, near Belfast. During the War, Nutt's corner was a base for Coastal Command, also known as the U-boat Hunters, who patrolled the Irish coast. The piece may be a crash site relic going by the general condition of the object. The dial is still functional and will turn using the bakelite knob under the glass window. Worth additional research.
