Handmade WWI Soldiers Trinket Box.
Interesting handmade box produced by a rehabilitating soldier from the US hospital in Savenay Northern France. "Gift from a Son to his Mother". The piece incorporates an Iconic German Iron cross on the lid, with scenes on both sides. The ends are inscribed with Savenay and France. The box measures 16cms x 11cms x 8cms. The internal silk padding has some deterioration due to age.
