Commemorative VE Day Cigar Box Remembering the Conflict in Europe 1939-45.
Very elaborate salvaged copper cigar box covering the campaign in Europe with all major offensives from Sept 1939 to May 1945 inscribed on all four sides. The lid carries a map of Europe. The box was produced by Granger in Egypt in 1945. The box measures 16cms x 16cms and stands 6cms high. One of these boxes sold in Bonhams in NY for $1000 plus fees two years ago.
