German selective-fire assault rifle developed by Hugo Schmeisser during World War II. Also designated as the MP43, it was eventually renamed the Sturmgewehr 44 (StG 44), becoming the world's first widely issued assault rifle to use an intermediate cartridge. Stunning early activated example in mint condition. The rifle has full moving parts and does breakdown for transport. The finest example we have ever come across in 30 years of trading.
