Allied Control Combined Commission for Germany Plated Cigarette Box Xmas 1945.
Interesting chrome plated, hammered finish cigarette box from the 609 L/R Det Hamburg. The box was produced for the German market in 1939, as stamped on bottom. The lid incorporates the Shield of the C.C.G. who were in control of the country after the surrender in May 1945. The piece has some wear to the chrome finish and some paint lost to the shield.
