Deutsche Heer Officers Lionhead Dress Sword

Deutsche Heer Officers Lionhead Dress Sword.

Very good example of the German Army officers dress sword, non-maker marked piece. Good early example with brass fittings and gilt overlay. The gilt has worn down to the base metal on the highlights of the handle. Blade is in very fine condition with residue remaining on blade. The blade measures 70cm compared to the scabbard which is 87cm. This factor is not usual in this business of edge weapons, but why the difference we will never know.

NB; Remember due To the change In The edge weapon laws. This artifact will require a special courier for transport to you, the customer at extra cost.
