WWII Luftwaffe Mutterkompass "Master Compass"
Interesting piece of german aviation equipment. This compass was located in the centre of the planes fuselage and was connected to the slave compass dial located on the pilots centre console. Used on many combat/fighter planes ie Me190. Me262, Fw190 etc. This piece measure 25cm in diameter and is a substantial Luftwaffe artifact. Most of the original paint is still present and main core does swivel as expected. The piece is missing some swivel springs which does not effect the operational movment of the compass.
