Royal Irish Constabulary Dublin Vehicle Depot Speed Restriction Sign.
This historically important piece came out of Dublin some time after partition in 1922 and has resided in a lockup ever since. The piece would have hung inside the entrance of a station yard or even in the entrance to Dublin castle, who knows.
The sign is a hand painted piece and measures 95cm by 45cm. The other interesting thing about this sign is the presence of bullet holes, which can be seen on the extensive photographs provided. One of the most important pieces I have had the pleasure to have up for sale.
