Royal Irish Constabulary Silver 1st Prize Ladies Rifle Competition Plaque.

Stunning piece of craftmanship by B&G. Co Ltd Birmingham 1904. The plaque was presented to Cecil Waters in June 1906 at the RIC depot located in Dublin. The plaque was produced using sheet silver with perforated lattice work around the outer frame, which is visible under closer inspection. The silver sheet has been attached to a hard cardboard backing, which is wrapped in a green silk material. The reverse has four cloth corner attachments which may have held a certificate, but this is just speculation. The panel measures 31cms x 21cms and is hallmarked just under the inscription.
