1834 William Parlour Percussion Grenade. This is now one of only two pieces known to exist. The other is in the hands of a private collector. The grenade was invented by William Parlour and was presented to the British War Office for consideration, but sadly was rejected. The grenade was activated by a percussion nipple being placed on top of the stem and being covered by the mushroom shaped cover. When the grenade hit its target the cover which was top heavy would hit the nipple and ignite the charge.

One of the rarest items I had in my collection. Overall the grenade is in fantastic condition for its age with just minor pitting.
