An impressive Deutsche Jägerschaft "DJ" snuffbox. It was a personal gift by Hermann Göring as "Reichsjägermeister".
The box is made of a piece of deer antler. The centre of the lid displays the emblem of the "DJ". Behind it is a brass plate. Decorated with oak leaves ornaments. Fixed with six small screws. The medallion on the back showing a hunting scene. There is a small trap door is located on the top of the antler, which is sprung hinged to access the void for the snuff. Attached with a chain on the box.
