Ulster Home Guard South Down Collection.
Really interesting collection relating to the Home Guard in Ulster during the war years. This is a recent find in Belfast after a House clear-out. The collection includes Membership badge for the UHG, Battle drill booklet dated 1943, Instruction manual for the Lewis gun and a map reading instruction booklet for the Home guard. The item which is most interesting historically is the local map of Tollymore Forest park in Newcastle not far from us with the locations of the barracks etc set up for the Ulster Home Guard during the war, which we have never seen before.
