Cased Knight’s Cross Of The War Merit Cross With Swords Museum Copy
Cased Knight’s Cross Of The War Merit Cross With Swords Museum Copy.
The Knight’s Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords (Ridderkreuz des Kriegsverdienstkreuz mit Schwertern) is identical to the Knight’s Cross without Swords except that in this version there are two swords placed diagonally through the Maltese cross. The Knight’s Cross was struck of silver, this example is a non-magnetic piece with silver plating. The standard of workmanship is exceptional and would be at a level of the Third Reich produced pieces. The case is of the highest quality in blue leatherette covering and a fitted black suede interior. The ribbon is UV positive as would be expected. This award was held in high esteem within the echelons of the party elite and was only awarded 17 times during its production, so very few originals ever reach the open market.
