Large Silver Salver NSKK Bobsleigh Race 1941 Innsbruck "Known Recipients"
Exceptionally fine salver with the inscription "International Bobsleigh Race 1941 Igls". The Victorious Team in a two man Bobsleigh and facsimile signature of "Huhnlein" who was head of the NSKK Corp, full name Adolf Huhnlein. After some indepth research we can now confirm that the recipients were NSKK Obertruppfuhrur Hans Kilian "Driver" who was also a known Olympian and NSKK Oberscharführer Franz Kermser "Brakeman". Both men were attached to Der Motor Gruppe Hochland. The salver has been lightly cleaned on the obverse, but never cleaned to the reverse. The piece measures 33.3cms in diameter and contains 791gms of 825 silver.
