Operation Bernhard White Ten Pound Note.
Operation Bernhard was the name of a secret German plan devised during WWII to destabilise the British economy by flooding the country with forged Bank of England £5 , £10, £20 and £50 pound notes. The notes were produced by mainly Jewish inmates at Sachsenhausen and Auschwitz internment camps.
The operation was stalled by powers above and was never completed. The note itself is in super condition with minimal wear. Small pieces of the edge of the note were removed on purpose by the inmates to show some circulation. Great and interesting piece for display.
