Large Impressive Early 20th Century Bronze Germanic Army Award Plaque.
A Stunning piece of Germanic art recently purchased in Germany. The plaque was produced in bronze and did have retaining bolt but sadly now gone. The bronze plaque depicts a Germanic Javelin Thrower with an embossed inscription "Heere Meisterschaft", which roughly translates to Army Championship. Above the figure to the right is the maker shamp SCH1922. The piece has never been cleaned and retains a rich dark patina, measuring 29cms from point to point it would make a very desirable display piece.
