British Army Public Order Wooden Baton "Operation Banner"
British Army Public Order Wooden Baton "Operation Banner".
Iconic piece of British army kit on the streets of Belfast and other towns in Northern Ireland during the "The Troubles". The baton was a deterrent during rioting but when used could inflict serious injuries. Mainly used during the early part of the conflict in running battles etc. We have incorporated a photograph which is not included with the piece, as its for reference only. The baton measures 61cms long and incorporates a leather strap for stability. We have acquired a number of these batons in exceptional condition.
