Deutsche Reichsbahn Enamel Service Information Sign.
The sign is of all yellow enamel over steel, vaulted in the middle, measuring 64cms x 43cms. Embossed on the sign is a black open winged eagle clutching a wreath with swastika enclosed. Below in two lines are the words DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN/ KRAFTWAGENGUTERSTELLE in gothic lettering, which are also embossed. The sign has some darkening around the edges, believed to be old railway soot. There are the usual chips in the corners but otherwise the enamel is in very nice condition. Marked on the back in German, including RZM Stamp M3/50 over 1939.
