The ITGWU was founded by famous Irish trade unionists Jim Larkin in 1908
The ITGWU was central to the Dublin lockout of 1913 and eventually the labour movement in Ireland. The leaders of the 1916 Irish Rebellion marched from the ITGWU headquarters to the GPO in the centre of Dublin during the start of the insurrection. The badge is well worn with some bruising to the edges. Some minor loss to the enamel finish.
