German 3.7cms Sockelflak Tracer Round (Produced for the on board Zeppelin Anti Aircraft Gun)
Interesting and scarce round produced for the newly built anti aircraft guns placed on the Zeppelin aircraft in response to the attacks by allied aircraft while on German bombing missions. It was found after a short period of time that the guns were as dangerous to the airships as the planes attacking them, so they were re-deployed to ground crews as light anti-aircraft guns.The tracer itself is in excellent condition with only slight tarnishing. This tracer is dated 1918.
